Evolve is one of the bigger and more popular brands on the market. The company may have started in Australia, but they now offer electric skateboards to people all over the world.

While the boards of each brand may look the same, the technology and features they provide can be wildly different. Started by an Australian married couple, Evolve tries to make a high-quality board that is lighter and most efficient than its competitors.

The Company Background

Founded in 2012 by Jeff and Fleur Anning, the couple first started with a passion for skateboards and wanted to find a link between snowboarding, surfing, and skateboarding in order to make the best quality and smoothest board on the market.

They were frustrated with the electric skateboards being offered at the time. They were flimsy, too big, heavy, and made of cheap parts. By founding Evolve, they decided to change that. Jeff Anning spent the first five years after the company’s founding testing, designing, and tweaking different parts in order to make the best board possible. Now, they have fourteen different designs and serve over 30 different countries.

New Products and Innovations

Evolve Skateboards has gone from selling one type of board to five different series. They now offer their Bamboo and Carbon GTR series, their Bamboo and Carbon GTX series, and their Bamboo GT series.

Under these categories, they offer two to three different types of boards. Which one is best for you all depends on where you take the board. Are you traveling far? What’s the terrain like? There’s the street version for commuting through the city, the all-terrain model for more rural areas, and the 2 in 1 so you can switch it up depending on the day.
